Creative people are usually more sensitive and empathetic when it comes to the suffering of others. As the war in Ukraine rages on many artists feel the pain of innocent Ukrainians and are looking for ways to help. If you’re one of these artists we would like to offer you a chance to make an impact. Our nonprofit organization, Maidan United, is putting together an art show in support of Ukraine.

We are looking for local (CT and vicinity) artists to participate. The show theme is ‘Blue and Yellow’, the colors of the Ukrainian flag. Blue represents the beautiful blue sky and rich yellow symbolizes the fields of wheat Ukraine is known for. We welcome artwork in any style as long as it’s predominant colors are blue, yellow or both. The goal is to create a visually stunning experience for the audience. The show will take place on July 31, 2022 at Moxi on the Rocks, a historic building that used to be a hydroelectric plant in East Hartford, CT. Moxi on the Rocks is an incredible place located on the river next to a waterfall. It’s a perfect space for an art exhibit. Participating artists can set whichever prices they would like for their works.

We’re asking for 50% of the sales to be donated to Maidan United. The funds collected will go towards purchasing much-needed medical supplies for Ukraine. We encourage the artists to create smaller, more affordable works to drive up more sales. Kids are also welcome to submit their art. All artworks must be wired for hanging. We ask the artists to hand-deliver all the artwork by July 29th. We will notify you about the drop-off dates. If you have any questions please email Natasha Sazonova at: artnsus@gmail.com
